200+ LGBT Kid's Shows

LGBT content, which is inherently sexual and sinful, is inappropriate for children.  However, there are over 200 TV shows that target children as young as preschoolers with LGBT content.  Since the TV Parental Guidelines rating system ignores LGBT content, and the shows themselves typically hide the fact they include it…. parents are left with no way of knowing what TV shows their kids shouldn’t watch!

This is why the Lord led me to compile a list of children’s shows with LGBT content.  The original list of 29 shows was published in 2023, and over the next 3 years He kept highlighting to me additional shows to add.  Today the list grows to 222 shows.  These kid’s shows are rated TV-Y, TV-Y7, TV-Y7-FV, TV-G, or TV-PG and are on all the major streaming sites like Netflix, Disney+ / Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Paramount+, PBS Kids, Apple TV, Peacock, etc.  

I have personally watched and described the LGBT content in each of the shows listed below.  They’re arranged alphabetically so you can simply scroll down through the list, or you can use your browser’s search function to find a specific show.  Parents who wish to personally investigate a show can use the provided picture, detailed description, and relevant episodes to quickly navigate to the problematic scenes.  If you know of any additional children’s shows (not TV-14) that need to be added to this list, please reach out with a description of the LGBT content and the episode’s name.

This list is not an achievement of my own doing, but a testament to how much God loves our children and values their protection.  May all glory go to the Lord Jesus Christ!  It is through Him that I was tasked with creating this resource for parents.  He grew me, delivered me, guided me, strengthened me, and protected me.  His Holy Spirit led me to countless shows that weren’t even being talked about.  It is my prayer that all who come to this list receive Jesus as their personal savior, repent and turn from their sins, and walk in a deep personal relationship with Him!

In "Penultimate Peril: Part 1" Jerome and Babs have a conversation in the sauna.  Jerome mentions his gay relationship with Charles and Babs mentions her lesbian relationship with a woman in jail (presumably Mrs. Bass).  In previous episodes Charles was in a gay relationship with Sir.

6. Action Pack

"Power Nap" features a little girl with teleporting superpowers named Tella Portanya; she references her lesbian mothers mommy and momma at the beginning and end of the episode.  Dinah Rex is part human and part dinosaur.  In "A Good Day to Dino" the action team scolds someone for criticizing Dina's dinosaur horns and tells Dina that being different is ok.

In "Blue River Wedding" Ada Twist and her friends facilitate the gay wedding of their karate instructor, Sensei Dave.  This episode includes the exchanging of wedding vows, a homosexual kiss, rainbow cake, and many instances of the gay men professing their love for each other.

15. Anne with an E

This is a show loosely adapted from the Anne of Green Gables children's books.  In "Memory Has as Many Moods as the Temper" Anne travels to her friend Diana's Great-Aunt Josephine's house for a party.  At the party Anne and her friends meet many extravagant guests, including a man wearing makeup and a dress.  The children learn that Great-Aunt Josephine is a lesbian when a woman wearing a top hat proclaims Josephine and Gertrude are her romantic ideal.  Later, Anne's friend Cole comes out to Josephine by saying he's like her.  In the following episode, "Struggling Against the Perception of Facts", Cole comes out to Anne, and Anne describes him as like Josephine but with men.  Cole also suspects his schoolteacher is gay.

In "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone", Arthur and his friends decide to stop the wedding of their teacher Mr. Ratburn (a main character) because they believe his bride is a 'meanie'.  But when Mr. Ratburn walks down the aisle they learn he is actually marrying Patrick, the man they previously met at the candy store.  Later Arthur and his friends express their approval of the marriage, and the gay men dance together.

29. Blues Clues & You!

The Blues Clues & You! YouTube channel produced two videos for pride month in 2021.  One of the videos is a song about a pride parade and features phrases like 'two daddies', 'trans members of this family', and 'ace, bi and pan'.  As the drag queen on screen (voiced by drag queen Nina West) sings in the foreground, LGBT animal characters ride by on floats in the background.  The floats feature animal children, including a young beaver with scars from breast reduction surgery.  The second video features several small children talking about pride month.  One of the kids goes over the different LGBT flags, another talks about his two moms, and a third mentions her two dads.  Participating in pride parades is also encouraged.

"Happy Pride from Disney Channel!" is a short celebrating LGBT pride.  "The Owl House: Lumity Date" is about lesbian couple Luz and Amity going on a date and how they keep getting interrupted when they go to kiss.  Eventually they end up in a quiet location and successfully kiss.  Both characters are from the show The Owl House.

In "The Mask" Mad Dog is domestically abusive to Bunny and forces her to be his girlfriend.  Based on what Mad Dog says about Kitty, it is implied that Kitty is Bunny's actual love interest.  This lesbian relationship is further implied by a toy mouse that Kitty has which says 'To Kitty, Love Bunny' on the bottom, along with Courage's conversation with a rat who describes Kitty and Bunny's relationship.  At the end of the episode Courage rescues Bunny from Mad Dog and Bunny hugs Kitty.  Kitty says now they can be best friends forever, after which Bunny hangs the mouse over their heads like mistletoe and they laugh.  Additionally, the creator of the show stated on Twitter that they were in love.

This show appears to have several LGBT characters.  In "The Haunted Dollhouse" the children enlist the help of two teen witches, Courtney and Tabitha, to communicate with a ghost.  During their seance a ghost turns off the lights, and when the lights come back on the lesbian witches are shown kissing.

This show is a spin-off of Henry Danger.  "Manlee Men" features twin child reporters named Finn and Quinn.  There's confusion around whether they're identical or fraternal twins, which is cleared up when Finn says they are identical twins and she transitioned from a girl to a boy.  Then Brainstorm explains what the term transgender means.  Finn is played by a transgender actor and Michael D. Cohen, a transgender actor who plays the recurring character Schwoz Schwartz, co-wrote this episode.  In "Say My Name" gay fathers reunite with their missing toddler named Ellis.  They explain that Ellis is adopted and his birth mother lives in Nova Scotia.

Charles Zeller, Lahela 'Doogie' Kamealoha's friend and coworker, is gay.  In "I'm Just a Mom" he details why he is choosing to specialize in gender affirmation surgery for transgender people.

In the special "Secrets of the Songwing" directly tied to the show, a songwing dragon named Melodia the songstress hypnotizes the people and other dragons on Huttsgalor.  At the end of the special she is reunited with her clearly female 'song mate' and it's revealed that the sadness of being separated from her lesbian lover is what drove her to hypnotize everyone.

Comic books were the first to portray the villains Monsieur Mallah and the Brain as gay.  In Teen Titans Go! they live together as a family: Mallah takes on the role of mother, Brain the father, and their minions the children.  The entire episode "The Brain of the Family" is dedicated to their family and relationship, including a time of crisis during which Brain tells the minions that "it's going to be alright, Mallah and Daddy are here".   After Robin, Cyborg, and Beast Boy get shot by Cupid's love arrows in "The Teen Titans Go Easter Holiday Classic" they stare longingly at each other, lick their lips, compliment each other, make kissing faces, hug, bite their lips, and their eyes turn into hearts.  A lesbian couple can be seen in the background in "BBRAE - Part 2" while Beast Boy is explaining how his song is spreading love and bringing couples together.

This show is a live action continuation of The Loud House.  Clyde McBride, a main character, continues to have gay fathers.  In "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" his fathers obsess over Clyde's date to the school dance.  Sam and Luna continue to be in a lesbian relationship and write love songs for each other in "Louds in Love".

In "Slumber Party" Sara is invited to a girls only slumber party.  However, her brother Jeffrey really wants to attend because 'boys are so boring' and he 'feels a real connection with all of his girlfriends'.  So, Jeffrey dresses like a girl and attends the slumber party while using the name Desiree.  At the end of the episode Jeffrey tells Sara that he feels like his true self as a girl, and Sara expresses her excitement at now having a sister.  The girls at the slumber party tell Jeffrey they knew it was him all along and give a small speech about acceptance.

This show features a transgender character named Kai, the star player on the team who is voiced by transgender actor Chanel Stewart.  Disney and Pixar made headlines for allegedly cutting out this transgender character and his episode, but it appears all they did was make the transgenderism slightly less obvious.  In the beginning of Kai's dedicated episode "I Got It" he looks like a boy; however, later he is shown growing a ponytail, wearing a skirt, and is referred to as a girl.  Additionally Kai's socks, which the camera fixates on repeatedly, are the same colors as the transgender flag.  Several scenes show Kai fixating on his name on his baseball glove, including one where he scratches off his boy name.  Kai also removes two photos from the wall in his grandma's house that show him looking like a boy.  Kai's episode focuses on common transgender themes like transition, living up to expectations, and being accepted.  There's also an out of place tear filled moment where Kai's dad tells him that he loves him no matter what.  Finally, in addition to Kai this show also has a flagrantly gay school janitor named Francis.  In "Blue" Francis helps Frank the umpire navigate dating apps.

When the children are heading to the secret museum in "We are the Bronte Sisters", a lesbian couple is seen walking with their child.  The episode for Billie Jean King (a lesbian tennis player) titled "I Am Billie Jean King", which first aired on international lesbian day, teaches that boys and girls can do the same things.  After learning this lesson, Brad finally has the confidence to put on pink ballet slippers and be the only boy to join a ballet class.  It seems to be the case that when a historical figure featured in the show is a member of the LGBT community (Alvin Ailey, Billie Jean King, Sally Ride, Norval Morrisseau), the show doesn't mention their sexuality; however, in the accompanying movie Xavier Riddle and the Secret Movie: I am Madam President there's a pride flag sticker on Sally Ride's statue.
